Jakarta - Rider Moto3, Jason Dupasquier, meninggal dunia setelah mengalami kecelakaan di Sirkuit Mugello. Para pebalap MotoGP berduka dan memberi penghormatan terakhir.

Para pembalap MotoGP pun berduka dan memberi penghormatan terakhir untuk Jason di Sirkuit Mugello, Italia, Minggu (30/5).

Valentino Rossi hingga Marc Marquez bersama rider lain berdiam diri selama satu menit. Hal itu sebagai bentuk penghormatan untuk Jason Dupasquier.

Jason Dupasquier meninggal dunia pada Minggu (30/5) malam WIB. Jason Dupasquier mengembuskan napasnya yang terakhir di Rumah Sakit Careggi di Florence, di mana dia menjalani perawatan sejak sehari sebelumnya.

Jason Dupasquier mengalami kecelakaan mengerikan pada sesi kualifikasi kedua Moto3 Italia. Rider 19 tahun asal Swiss itu terjatuh antara tikungan 9 dan 10 di Sirkuit Mugello saat melaju dalam kecepatan tinggi.

Usai kecelakaan, rider 19 tahun asal Swiss itu terbaring di atas trek. Sesi kualifikasi langsung dihentikan, karena Jason harus mendapatkan pertolongan segera. Namun sayang, nyawa rider PrustelGP itu tak tertolong meski sudah dibawa ke rumah sakit.
