Hari kedua gelaran MotoGP Belanda, Sabtu (29/6/2024), menggelar kualifikasi dan sprint race sebagai agenda utamanya. Marquez menjadi 'bintang' dalam dua sesi itu.
Di sesi kualifikasi, Marquez apes usai blunder. Rider Gresini Racing itu terjatuh di Turn 7 pada momen terakhir jelang kualifikasi selesai.

Marquez jatuh usai menyalip Aleix Espargaro dari sisi dalam. Kemudian, rider Spanyol itu kehilangan grip depan saat mulai menikung, dan ambruk.
