Brasil - Stadion Maracana diterangi dengan cahaya keemasan untuk menghormati kepergian Pele. Stadion ini banyak menjadi saksi keberhasilan Pele dalam sepakbola.

Stadion Maracana diterangi dengan cahaya keemasan untuk menghormati legenda sepak bola Brasil Pele, di Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, Kamis (29/12/2022) waktu setempat.

Pele, legendaris sepak bola, meninggal dunia pada usia 82 tahun setelah beberapa bulan terakhir menjalani perawatan setelah tumor ditemukan di usus besarnya.

Stadion Maracana, salah satu ikon Rio de Janeiro, pun diterangi cahaya sebagai bentuk penghormatan untuk Pele.

Stadion ini menjadi bukti sejarah Pele saat menorehkan gol yang ke-1.000 sepanjang kariernya pada tahun 1969.

Selain itu stadion ini juga yang menjadi tempat Pele memainkan pertandingan terakhirnya untuk Brasil di usia 30 tahun saat bermain imbang 2-2 melawan Yugoslavia.

Bahkan Pele mendapatkan kehormatan namanya akan dipakai menjadi nama baru Stadion Maracana.
